We love jewelry and have it in all shapes, sizes and colors! For every item we not only use the best quality but also the most fitting material. Every jewelry piece needs materials that fit the product and the appearance best. Of course it can be very confusing if you take a look at our website and it brings up a lot of questions. That is why we answer five most frequently asked questions about our jewelry materials in this blog.

Is all the jewelry nickel free?

YES! All our items in the webshop are nickel free, whatever the material is. This is maybe the most asked question about the jewelry materials. Which makes sense because you want to provide your customers the right information and make sure they don’t get an allergic reaction.

Where can I find the material information?

All the information is listed in the product description of every product. Sometimes the products contain more than just one material. We will also mention that there!

Why so many options?

Our webshop contains so many jewelry pieces with each its own material. We use a lot of different materials to fit every customers wishes and create a wide range to choose from. In doing so, we ensure that every product looks at its best and provide a lot of products with different price ranges. This way you can select jewelry that fits to your brand.

Gold Plated & Stainless Steel: what is the difference?

The most common materials on our website are the gold plated and stainless steel jewelry. The materials have both similarities and differences and their own benefits. Our gold plated products contain a 2.5 micron thick layer of 18K gold, white gold or rose gold. The material we use underneath the plating is copper or another metal type.

Stainless steel jewelry contains the same plating, expect for the silver items. They are colored by the material itself. For the stainless steel jewels we use stainless steel type 316L and sometimes a little of type 304.

The main difference is the material underneath the plating. Stainless steel jewelry does not fade, tarnish or oxidize. There is a chance with the gold plated jewelry. However, we always advice to avoid contact with water, perfume and sweating. This expends the durability of the product.
Gold plated jewelry are a great option if you like zircon stones. They stick better with copper and really make the product shine.

They both have pro’s and con’s but choose what fits your brand the best!

What is the best choice?

That is totally up to you! Make sure to select jewelry that fits your target group, price range and requirements. Make sure that the quality matches your wishes and taste!
